Deep Clean Into Spring

Spring temperatures may be taking their time to stick around, but they are on their way nonetheless. Start shedding the winter slump and get ready to let the fresh season in with some good old-fashioned Spring cleaning. Whether you have five minutes to freshen up or a whole day to get it done, start with some our top Spring-cleaning steps below.

1.Organize the Fridge

Get ready to stock up with your favorites from the farmer’s market with a good clean-out and reorganization. Get rid of anything expired or that you’re not likely to use. While you’re at it, don’t forget to wipe down any shelves and drawers with warm, soapy water.

2.Clean Your Doormats

Welcome the new season with some fresh doormats. Vacuum indoor doormats on both sides. Going over the back of the mats will help push trapped dirt on the floor where it’s easier to pick up. For outdoor mats, give them a good hose off then let them air dry.

3.Wipe Down the Walls

Get rid of greasy fingerprints, stains, and dust by wiping them with a damp microfiber cloth. Don’t forget the door frames and baseboards!

4.Wash Your Reusable Bags

Reusable grocery bags help mother earth, but they can get grimy quick. Look at the care labels to figure out the best way to clean them. If you can’t machine wash, try a sponge or cloth dipped in soapy water. Rinse with a clean cloth and let air-dry.

5.Clean Up Your Cosmetics

Getting rid of expired makeup, skincare, and hair products is a quick way to declutter and make sure you’re only using the best for your body as we step into spring. And, keep those brushes clean with a few drops of dawn dish soap, then rinse under warming water.
